In the news and reports I have read from Yemen there has not been a reference to the scope of the meddling by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Quds Force in this country. In this article I would like to assess the dimensions of the Quds Force’s meddling according to the news received from inside the Iranian regime.

One of the most important exports Iran has been engaged in in the past few years has been sending arms, bombs and missiles to various countries across the region. It has been years since Iran boasts of exporting “Islamic revolution” to regional countries, which of course means exporting terrorism and supporting fundamentalism groups to take control over regional countries.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said a ship carrying arms from Iran for the Houthis was recently confiscated, adding Tehran continues to support the Shiite rebels in Yemen. On the other hand Arab coalition forces in Yemen are attempting to stop and neutralize such arms smuggling from Iran to Yemen.

Iran’s further isolation in the Middle East

The Foreign Ministers Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held at Saudi Arabia’s request on January 21^st in Jeddah. In the past the Iranian regime considered itself in complete control of the OIC and took advantage of this summit to cloak its terrorist objectives and meddling activities.

This summit was in one word a new step for even more isolation for Tehran in the Middle East, with the noose tightening around Iran’s neck more than ever before.

The Middle East and the Iran Tumor

In the past 37 years since the regime in Iran rose to power, I can say that the Middle East has been suffering from an intellectual and political tumor spreading its roots each day. The name of this illness is the terrorism cancer. Unfortunately, Western countries, with the United States leading the pack, have for short-term economic interests allowed this regime spread its influence across the region, especially in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait and others. Parallel to covertly expanding its roots across the Middle East, Iran has been quite busy taking steps towards obtaining nuclear weapons to maybe lift its flag of Islamic empire across the region.

A court order issued against the Abdali terror group has shown that a number of Iranian embassy diplomats in Kuwait have been supporting the members of this cell through providing training and financial aid, along with coordination between the cell members.

As Russia entered the war in Syria based on requests made by Iran, senior Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and Quds Force commanders and even officials in Khamenei’s office launched measures to occupy the strategic city of Aleppo. In their meetings they said this operation is a matter of dignity for the Iranian regime and they must take over Aleppo at all costs. For this campaign Iran placed a large amount of financial and human resources.

Why has Iran during the past four years been seeking war, exporting terrorism and meddling in other country’s internal affairs?

From day one, this regime has launched a non-stop campaign of warmongering, exporting terrorism and meddling in the internal affairs of other countries. Slogans of promoting Islam and … are mottos the ayatollahs have been deviously thumping their chests with for years now. Despite the atrocious economic conditions the Iranian people are living in, this regime has plundered and literally wasted billions outside of its borders, being in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and beyond. An increasing number of senior commanders, including Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) officers being killed in other countries, prove very well Tehran’s meddling abroad. Of course, it has to be taken into consideration that these are cases that the regime is willing to admit to, and there has to be much more we never learn about.

Operation Decisive Storm against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen is a significant, yet long overdue, blow to Iran’s occupation in this country. General information

-         Yemen is a country in the Middle East; just south of Saudi Arabia. Its capital is the City of Sanaa.

-         Area: 527,968 km²

-         Population: 23,013,386 (based on a 2008 analysis)

-         Religion: A combination of different branches of Shiite and Sunni Islam, 42% of which are Shiite. Some 35% of the Shiites are Zaidiya (believe in 5 Imams) and the rest believe in 12 and 7 (Ismailia) Imams. The Sunnis are mostly Shafis and there is a small percentage of Christian and Jews.

-         Yemen has several islands; the most important of which are: Saghreh Island in the Arab Sea and Hanish Island in the Red Sea.

Iran’s plan to continue interventions in Yemen

The main task of the Iranian embassy in Sana’a is to provide financial, intelligence and military support for Houthi rebels and forces loyal to Ali Abdulla Saleh against the legal Yemeni government. The Iranian embassy in Sana’a has turned from a diplomatic center into an operations command center. Prior to the war that began in March of this year, Iran was supporting the Houthis by sending them weapons through air and land. Every week, 14 planes flew from Tehran to Sana’a.

In the status quo of the Middle East, Syria acts as the source of mayhem and the spread of terrorism, and Iran is taking advantage of Syria as the exporter of terrorism to countries across the region and the entire globe.

The main characteristic of the Iranian regime, differencing it from other dictatorial regimes, is its meddling in other countries dubbed by its senior officials as “exporting the revolution”, killings and massacre in other countries. When Khomeini was forced to give in to the 1988 ceasefire in the Iran-Iraq War, his regime began focusing on meddling in countries across the Middle East. Losing control over Aden and afterwards the strategic al-Anad air base in Yemen to forces loyal to President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi were major blows to Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. It is now expected all cities will be liberated from Houthi occupation in a short period.

Iran’s flagrant meddling in Yemen

A number of Iranian experts and military forces have been killed or detained by Yemeni popular resistance forces during the liberation of Aden and Lahij.

Popular resistance forces in Aden have arrested a number of Iranian troops fighting alongside Houthi militants in Aden and other parts of southern Yemen, said Aden Governor Nayef al-Bakri in recent press remarks. The resistance has a number of prisoners from various nationalities and they are currently conducting investigations to clarify their origins and assignments. A number of military experts and fighters were amongst these forces, including a large number Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) members that were arrested in the Aden, Lahij and Abyan battlefronts, he added, going on to say the names, nationalities and associations of these individuals will be released soon.

What is Maliki seeking in his remarks against Saudi Arabia?

In early July former Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki made some unexpected remarks in saying Saudi Arabia supports terrorist groups. The question is where did such a position come from out of the blue? As you are already aware on March 27^th Saudi Arabia launched unanticipated measures by attacking Yemen and saving this country from falling into the hands of Iran and its Houthi proxies. This change of events disrupted all of Tehran’s calculations for the region as it had major plans for the region to completely take over Yemen and take new steps in its ridiculous dreams of becoming the ‘mother of all nations’ in the Middle East.
